With engagement early in the project’s life cycle, ICORA® reduces risks and delays through integrated planning for construction, commissioning, and operations to achieve schedule facility start-up.
The main components in each
Project Stage
are:
Appraise
Alignment of ICORA™ with Asset and Project
Ensure Commissioning, Start-up and Verification Of Readiness requirements are considered within any contracting strategy development.
Feed
Alignment of ICORA™ with Asset and Project.
- Develop the Construction, Commissioning, and Start-Up (CSU) system & sub-system boundary limits & sequences.
- Define key stakeholders, develop key O&M strategies and VOR plans
- Provide Input to contractor and supplier contracting & procurement Strategies.
Detailed Design
Identify the Verification of Readiness task details for the Project
- Participation in key engineering reviews, Design, HAZOPs, HAZIDs, FAT’s etc
- Develop the O&M Organisational strategy, staffing and Training requirements
- Develop CSU documentation, including clearly defined construction handover points
Execute
Execute Readiness & Assurance Plans
- Participation in all commissioning phases and initial start-up as part of the Integrated Commissioning Team, including management and coordination of the whole of assets at RFSU, through to final asset handover and acceptance.
- Ensure Readiness is achieved by meeting all operations & Maintenance requirements.
Operate
Support Start-up & Operations
- Assist Operations with Final Performance & Acceptance testing
- Facilitate transfer of custody & control of the Asset to Operations
Verification of Readiness (VOR)
Using the CSU logic, readiness is managed by Areas/Systems and Subsystems. For each Area/System, a list of specific "Readiness" task milestones are tracked across 5 key elements:
- Asset: Completing all activities and deliverables to bring the asset to RFSU.
- People: Having all required resources in place to start up and run the facility.
- Licence to Operate: Having all required licences or regulatory approvals in place.
- Systems, methods, and steps: Completing all systems, processes, and procedures for running and maintaining the facility.
- Supply Chain: Contracts & Procurement: Having all required logistics, contracts for services in place.
