OGS was engaged by the EPA to provide technical expertise and undertake a review of the Maui Field Activities Impact Assessment against section 59 of the EEZ Act. The focus of the review was the analysis of the risks and consequences of operations considering Shell Taranaki’s application for changing the Drill Rig from a Semi-TAD to a Jack-up Rig facility. After review of the marine consent application, an Assessment Report was prepared and a follow up review was conducted after the receipt of further information and advice received in response to the initial findings.
